Travel advisories for Singapore citizens visiting or transiting through the UK.
Starting 8 January 2025, all Singapore citizens must apply for an ETA before traveling to the UK. This includes short visits, business trips, studies, and family visits.
The ETA fee was increased to £16 (about S$28) on 9 April 2025. Travelers are encouraged to plan early and apply in advance.
As of early 2025, airside transit passengers—those who do not pass through UK border control—are temporarily exempt from requiring an ETA. This policy is under review and may change again.
More nationalities may be added to the ETA eligibility list.
Additional travel categories (such as long-term work or study visas) may receive clarifications.
Processing time updates and mobile app improvements are expected throughout 2025.
